This Summer Course will bring together three brilliant historians to discuss the relationship between feminism, experience of violence and politics at the time of the Spanish Transition from Dictatorship to Democracy.

Monica Moreno, Maria Angels Larumbe and María del Rosario Ruiz Franco have paid special attention in their research to the history of women in a context as intense and peculiar as the Spanish Transition. A moment not without violence and which confronted women from different points of view.

Ornamental stones, and especially marble, were the material of choice for Roman architects, sculptors, decorators, epigraphists etc. They symbolised the luxury that had been achieved by the Empire, and this ornamental culture also found its way to the western reaches, the Iberian Peninsula, the inhabitants of which made use of it so that their cities would emulate the metropolis, Rome, as far as possible.

Este Curso de Verano reunirá a diferentes especialistas (historiadores, periodistas, sociólogos, políticos, juristas...) con el fin de reflexionar sobre uno de los episodios más importantes que marcaron la historia de Euskadi: el Proceso de Burgos celebrado en diciembre de 1970 contra dieciséis miembros de ETA. Se profundizará tanto en el contexto como en el desarrollo y las consecuencias que tuvo aquel juicio para la sociedad vasca.
