2026 European Association of Young Economists Annual Meeting

18.mai - 20. mai, 2026 Cod. E51-26

Description

The EAYE Annual Meeting is a leading general-interest economics conference that brings together junior researchers from across the globe. It covers a broad range of topics in economics, providing a central forum for presenting frontier research and fostering exchange among emerging scholars.

Each year, the conference receives over 600 submissions and selects approximately 130 papers through a rigorous peer-review process. The scientific program spans three days and includes ten sessions, with five parallel sessions running at each time slot. This format ensures high attendance in sessions while offering ample opportunities for discussion and networking across fields.

Participants are primarily assistant professors and advanced PhD students, each accounting for roughly 45% of attendees, with most doctoral participants nearing completion of their PhD. The meeting also attracts postdoctoral researchers and economists from central banks and other research institutions. In 2025, participants were affiliated with more than 100 institutions worldwide, including leading European and North American universities as well as major central banks.

The program includes two keynote lectures delivered by internationally renowned economists. Complementing the academic program, the conference features two major social events—a reception and a conference dinner—designed as prime networking occasions and an integral part of the Annual Meeting experience.
