The third edition of the Eduardo Chillida School focuses on one of the great references in the history of 20th century art. Chillida was a unique, singular and unrepeatable artist, with his own style and an unusual language of forms. But, above all, Chillida represented the constant search for knowledge and the will to go beyond the limits of the known.

How should environmental issues be communicated with and for young people?

Javier Clemente spoke about his inspirational talk "Cómo comunicar sobre medioambiente en redes sin caer en el intento".

Ernesto Morales has developed his professional career in the fields of community action, solidarity economy, social services and citizen participation. In his talk at the Summer Course he spoke about community action and its construction from the margins, empowerment, inclusion and the improvement of living conditions.

"We have to integrate new technologies and social changes into the Basque Curriculum and learn from the mistakes made".

Nora Salbotx and Hur Gorostiaga participated in the course "La educación como instrumento de cohesión social del futuro: re-representación del currículo vasco" of the Cross-border Summer Courses.

"The big challenge would be to engage society in the coming years. I see many possibilities".

Irene López Goñi and Iban Thicoipe participated in the Cross-border Summer Course "La educación como instrumento de cohesión social del futuro: re-representación del currículo vasco".

"Having a desire to promote it, we often fail to highlight that view. We do not feel the need for it, and it is the duty of adults to perceive it."

Nahia Idoiaga participated in the course "Mugak gainditzeko hezkuntza eta ikerkuntza proposamenak: haur eta gazteen partehartzea sustatzen", and in this interview she speaks about the participation of children and young people and the importance of minority languages.

This week, cross-border courses are held at the Cité des arts in Bayonne. Yannick Hernández is the director of the course "Análisis transfronterizos y transnacionales de los videojuegos: usos, interacciones y acompañamiento" and he reflects on the subject in this interview.

"Young people are tired. Tired of being blamed and put in the spotlight. It is more about what they should not stop doing than what they can do, and that message needs to be changed".

Serafín Huertas and Ainhoa Diez de Salazar talk about environmental education and the problems it has to face.

"We must continue working on emotions in the classroom, so that young people can express themselves. Let them put a name and a word to what they feel".

In this interview, Eva Bilbao from Osakidetza stresses the need to raise awareness about suicide.

"Educational institutions, even universities, have become havens of knowledge that do not live in convergence with the community in which they live. We have to go back to educating with the idea that we are part of society and that we depend on each other. Only by recovering the concept of the idea of living in community will we be able to face the challenges we encounter".

The Course "7 saberes para la educación ambiental en la escuela" (7 lessons for environmental education at school) awakened great interest among audiences interested in environmental education, because of both its novel approach, linking Morin's complex lessons to environmental education, and the international standing of the speakers. As well as the potential students at whom it was aimed - people coordinating school Agenda 2030 projects - the course attracted people from the worlds of academia, business and environmental education consultancy, among others.
