Broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS) is a powerful experimental technique permitting to investigate the molecular dynamics of polar (and nonpolar) materials over a wide frequency range covering up to 16 decades, at different temperatures and pressures.

The next joint celebration QENS/WINS will constitute the 15^th Edition of the QENS series and the 10^th of the WINS workshops.

Understanding and exploiting the robustness of topological superconductivity and the unique quantum mechanical properties of strongly entangled particles is a thriving avenue to develop new quantum technologies. The first ideas and platforms, notably Majorana zero modes at the edges of one-dimensional topological superconductors, have led to a richer landscape of systems that include unconventional superconductors, spin-liquids, fractional quantum Hall states, as well as the simulation of many-body ground states in quantum computers.

In 2D materials, essentially everything takes place on the surface and, consequently, SPM techniques have produced some of the most exciting works in these unique materials. We believe a focused 2DSPM conference will represent a very stimulating environment facilitating the easy flow of knowledge and ideas among participants.  After the success of the first edition, 2DSPM has been consolidated in a biennial basis conference. In this 2022 edition, we will have 26 invited speakers and additional participants who will contribute with short talks and posters.
 

The conference will bring together leading experts in the experimental and theoretical fronts to discuss the newly found correlated electronic states in two dimensional Moiré heterostructures. These include correlated insulators and superconductors in stacked, twisted layers of graphene in their different forms, as well as transition metal dichalcogenide heterostructures like those realized with WSe2 and variants.

The workshop will highlight recent advances in material systems designed for studying the most intriguing physical phenomena at the nanoscale. These phenomena are related to spin, topology, and coherence, which make it possible for the materials to display quantum functionalities. While Condensed Matter Physics is rich in material systems in which almost any physics can be readily found and studied, with recent developments of quantum materials, it appears possible to purposefully design material systems with a given physical phenomenon in mind.

The school on PhotoElectroCatalysis at the Atomic Scale (PECAS) is aimed at promoting various opportunities for interdisciplinary discussion of scientists and students of physics, material science, chemistry and electrochemistry in addition to presentation of new results, ideas and methods in the field of photo- and electrochemical properties of novel materials.
