At the intersection of quantum optics, condensed matter physics, and quantum technologies, the workshop will address topics like:

  • Light-matter interactions in strongly correlated systems
  • Many-body phases of excitons/exciton-polaritons
  • Moiré systems
  • Light-induced quantum phases
  • Electronic quantum simulators
  • Quantum dots

High-profile researchers in the field are invited to deliver their talks, and also there will be an opportunity for ~15 younger researchers to present their work in contributed talks. Every participant will be given the opportunity to present their work during a poster session.

Tobias Grass

Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC)

Tobias Grass is an Ikerbasque Research Fellow at the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) in San Sebastián. His research concentrates on strongly correlated quantum matter, with a focus on controllable systems through light-matter interactions. Before his appointment at the DIPC, Grass was a La Caixa Junior Leader Fellow at ICFO in Barcelona and a JQI Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2013 from Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, and a Diploma in Physics in 2009 from Freie Universität Berlin.
