Digitalización de la enseñanza: una visión desde la protección de datos
Description
The change that technology has generated in the classrooms forces parents, students and educators to make an adaptive effort, to a leisurely analysis aimed at knowing the risks and the existing alternatives.
The path traveled from chalk to mouse, or from wax to methacrylate, imposes a toll, a tribute that is sometimes excessive in terms of privacy.
The legislator has been aware of this, thus, Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, 2018, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights imposes a clear mandate on the public authorities in its article 83, consisting of guaranteeing the right to digital education.
To this end, the education system must guarantee the full insertion of students into the digital society and the learning of a critical and safe use of digital media, as well as respectful of human rights.
The use of educational platforms in schools has revealed the vulnerable position of teachers, students and parents in the face of the giant corporations responsible for these resources.
Objectives
To bring attendees closer to this reality and to the study of possible alternatives that are more respectful of people's privacy. To this end, there are three speakers whose complementary visions shed light on an increasingly complex and pressing problem.
