It is the mission of the Etxepare Basque Institute to spread the Basque language and culture throughout the world. Currently the Institute acts through 35 cooperation agreements signed with international universities, where 30 specialized lecturers selected by the Etxepare Basque Institute teach Basque language and culture in programs of Bachelor’s Degrees. Furthermore, in order to consolidate Basque studies in international Master’s Degrees, 8 Chairs have been set up at 5 universities in the USA, at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, at the University of Liverpool and at the Université Bordeaux-Montaigne.
