Leire tells us about her experience as a student in the Summer Course "Sexualidades en clave de mujer".

Ernesto Morales has developed his professional career in the fields of community action, solidarity economy, social services and citizen participation. In his talk at the Summer Course he spoke about community action and its construction from the margins, empowerment, inclusion and the improvement of living conditions.

Jakoba is a member of the Bizi Baratzea project and author of several books on horticulture.

In the Summer Course, he focused on the challenges of sustainable and independent gastronomy and new forms of consumption, the future of quality artisan products and collaboration between chefs and producers.

"There were laws that began to regularise the issue of travel, because the first trips at the beginning of the 19th century were horrible, without any sanitation". 

Esterle Maryse talks about travel in the 19th century and migration to America. She took part in the course "La diáspora vasca: de la salida transfronteriza a la integración en América (País Vasco, Estados Unidos, América Latina, siglos XIX-XXI)", which was held as part of the Cross-Border Courses.

"I think that citizens on both sides of the border understand that this is not without logic. The only way is to go to the Luxembourg court and have it rule, because fortunately this is not a matter for one state, but for Europe".

Juanjo Álvarez talks to us about the course "La integración europea en la frontera franco-española: una perspectiva transfronteriza", which was held as part of the Cross-Border Summer Courses.

"A cross-border financial agent would serve to develop economic exchanges between The North Basque Country and The South Basque Country".

Xabi Larralde took part in the Cross-border Course "Desarrollo territorial solidario formas organizativas y jurídicas y de cooperación al servicio del territorio".

"The cross-border landscape helps us to broaden the dimension and to understand that we are talking about a continuous element, in which there are no barriers".

In this interview, Manuel Borobio delves into the importance of the cross-border landscape. He took part in the course "Frontera y paisajes", which was held within the framework of the Cross-border Courses.

"The main challenge is to create a community and relations between all the people who live a cross-border life, that is to say, people who have not only work relations but also social or educational relations".

Joxerramon Bengoetxea reflected on cross-border life at the end of the summer course "Euskal Eurohiria: un laboratorio europeo para la ciudanía transfronteriza".

"It is an important place because it is inside Irati, in the forest itself. Our way of life and what we create is achieved thanks to the people who look after this environment".

In this interview, Karlos Bueno talks about the situation of the communal lands in the Aezkoa valley.

"Video games help young people to socialise, and their relationship with their parents can improve".

This week, cross-border courses are held at the Cité des arts in Bayonne. Yannick Hernández is the director of the course "Análisis transfronterizos y transnacionales de los videojuegos: usos, interacciones y acompañamiento" and he reflects on the subject in this interview.

"Aggressiveness is a natural part of our way of being as a species. Now we have studied it more and we are more attentive. We are starting to pay attention to these problems because we are more concerned about them".

In this interview, Eider Pascual and Aitziber Azurmendi talk about aggressiveness and violence.

"In the Basque Country, water consumption is very moderate. Household appliances are efficient and awareness is very high. You cannot ask more to our society".

In this interview, Iñigo Elosegui delves into issues such as water consumption in the Basque Country and the effect of climate change on reservoirs.

"We must be aware that social cohesion is enriching for the territory. It is not in our interest to leave some people aside because they have fewer economic resources or are unemployed".

Francisco Javier Leturia, from the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, discusses social inclusion and the transition towards empowerment in this interview.

"Democracy always has to manage problems because it is designed for that".

Igor Filibi López talks about democracy in Europe, mentioning issues such as the distancing of citizens from institutions, the decrease in electoral participation and the challenges that remain for the future.

"EIT Health is an initiative that aims to reach the day-to-day clinical research and health of all people living in Europe".

In this interview, Elena Urdaneta, from the Hospital San Juan de Dios, talks about the paradigms of mental health and the implementation of technology in this field.

"The Ararteko considers that a Basque housing pact would be necessary to guarantee not only answers to housing emergency situations, but also to expand the stock of subsidised housing".

The importance of training and information is vital in the fight against this type of violence.
