The 2026 Summer Courses will open their programme and registration in April

UIK is already fully engaged in preparing the 2026 Summer Courses of the University of the Basque Country (EHU). The full programme and the opening of registration will be announced in mid-April.

The Summer Courses of the University of the Basque Country (EHU), organised by UIK, constitute an open educational program that connects university and society through specialised courses in different areas of knowledge. Year after year, they bring together academics, professionals and the wider public to engage with current issues and share reflection.

IIn the words of Idoia Otaegui, academic director of UIK, the response to the call for applications has once again been very positive: more than 165 proposals have been submitted for the 2026 Summer Courses by EHU faculty members, as well as by companies, associations and other social and cultural organisations. This diversity of perspectives and fields enriches the project and strengthens the link between university and society. UIK would like to sincerely thank all individuals and organisations for the trust placed in the institution.

The Programme Committee and the EHU subcommittees have already completed the process of reviewing and selecting the proposals. Their rigorous and committed work ensures the quality and academic endorsement that distinguish the Summer Courses of the University of the Basque Country.

The 2026 edition will once again offer a varied and attractive program, addressing current topics from diverse perspectives and designed to reach a wide range of audiences. As always, it is an educational offer open to the general public: anyone interested will be able to participate.

From mid-April onwards, the programme will be available for consultation and registration will open. UIK continues working to present a new edition featuring valuable and engaging content soon.
