Basque Segurtasun Foroa. Seguridad Integral y comunidad
Description
The "Basque Segurtasun Foroa" is the most extensive participatory process developed by the Department of Security. For a year, it has traveled throughout the Basque Country, listening to professionals, technicians, and agents involved in a comprehensive vision of security. During these nearly 40 group meetings, the main threats facing us as a community have been explored. These include climate threats, citizen insecurity, perception problems caused by misinformation and self-serving rumors, gender-based violence, cybercrime, problems associated with drug use and trafficking, a lack of a self-protection culture, the crisis of authority, and the loss of community values, among others. The Basque Segurtasun Foroa was created to analyze the new threats we must face as a society in order to develop a Comprehensive Strategic Security Plan for the Basque Country.
This Summer Course aims to further deepen this culture of participation and share lessons learned and new social challenges. It aims to reflect a process in which nearly 2000 people have participated and to account for how that process will be translated into strategies, security policies and prevention better adapted to this time of rapid change.
